Bila di ingat semula masa zaman aku kecil-kecil, zaman sekolah rendah, masa merdeka tu lah exited bangun pagi nak tengok perarakan. Padahal tengok dekat TV je pun. Tapi semangat merdeka tu mamang berkobar-kobar. Compared than bila umur dah masuk 20an nie, bila merdeka of course kita exited bila bercuti. Waaa nak cuti panjang). Tapi tak apa, kita chill je.
Ok, sebenarnya aku nak share satu article yang aku terjumpa dekat FB. Macam biasalah bila aku terjumpa benda menarik dekat FB mestilah aku nak share dalam blog nie. Senang nak cari. Tak payah nak scroll-scroll lagi dekat FB tu.
Article dia aku rasa agak menarik and tertarik untuk aku share dekat sini. Sebab apa yang dia tulis apa yang kadang-kadang otak aku fikir. Berfikir tanpa dapat diluahkan melalui penulisan. Jom baca.

Dear Employers (Non-Gen Y),
If you have people between 21 - 35 years old working at your office please read this.
Because generation gaps are one of the biggest problems at work now.
Let me help you to understand.
If you have people between 21 - 35 years old working at your office please read this.
Because generation gaps are one of the biggest problems at work now.
Let me help you to understand.
1) Don't question us if we go back on time. (except retail line)
Your era: You have to work hard, get higher pay, get promoted so that you can enjoy your life.
Now: We can enjoy our life regardless of how much we are being paid because after working hours it is all our personal time.

2) New language.
Your era: There are only English and other formal language to be spoken in office.
Now: We have thousands of new words and few other languages including English and Netizen language.
If we say words like 'poyo' or 'acah2', it is not cursing. Poyo means 'tunjuk eksyen' and acah2 means 'konon2' during your time.
So if you don't understand what we said, don't get mad easily.

3) Yelling to one person in front of others.
Your era: Boss could yell to someone who made a mistake in front of everyone else so that others won't repeat.
Now: That is embarrassing, you better talk personally. Yes, I made a mistake, but I still have dignity.

4) Independent.
Your era: You shared your problem with your colleague because people were very trustworthy back then.
Now: With a lot of cases nowadays, we don't simply trust people on our personal matters.
So if there is something wrong with us, leave us alone because we were taught how to be independent and survive with our own problem. Don't ask unless we ask you. Otherwise, you are interfering not helping.

5) Ideas.
Your era: You don't share your idea if you're not asked to do so. Because you have to follow how things work in your company unless the boss asks for the idea.
Now: We share what we have in mind to make the company better, even if the boss does not ask for it.
Because we think it is our responsibility. If you don't like it, stop teaching brainstorming and group work at school. And we know not all our ideas are good. We don't really mind if people don't accept our idea. We just need to be listened. Because listening means appreciation to us.

6) Smiley.
Your era: You guys write a lot, and rarely used a smiley because it is casual. It should not be used in formal conversation to show seriousness.
Now: We use a smiley to express our language gaps. Such as (smiley with teeth) means no problem/cheers/it's ok.
And (love eye smiley) means thank you so much/I appreciate it/ I love it. It is not flirting. (unless too much)

7) Common sense.
Your era: Everybody will have common sense towards everything. So people can think on their own.
Now: Common sense is so common that not all people want to have it. It is very limited like a genius in a group of student.
So, make it damn clear if you're talking to gen Y.

I write this to make it clear. Not to create war.
So this is my Merdeka speech. Let's support each other regardless of what generation we are.
